Me and Dylan had a GREAT 8 day trip to Texas:-) The airplane ride to Texas was so much fun! Dylan loved looking out the window. As we were taking off he kept saying "faster faster airplane". We colored, read books, had some snacks and played with his new Diego matching cards. Our trip was full of family christmas parties, chaotic christmas shopping, and lots of wiggles! When we first got there we all went out to dinner for auntie liz' birthday at Javiers. We spent friday doing christmas shopping. Then took Dylan to Urgent Care for his poor little cough/cold. He got some medicine and started to feel better over the next few days. We went to Gateway for church and met Bobby, Christi, Ben and Max for lunch at Mi Cocina! We went back to see their new house and Dylan had a blast playing with the boys!! He didnt want to leave:-( Max got him a farm and some new color wonders!! He was so excited!! Then we went to Julie and Derricks for the Turnbull/McLane family christmas party!! It was so nice to see everyone! For my moms' (Grammy) birthday we went to lunch with her dad (Pop) who came in town for the afternoon. It was so nice getting to catch up with him and tell fun family stories:-) Then that night my dad (Pop) took Nick, Liz, Me and Dylan to the Maverick game!!! We had so much fun and Dylan was all smiles. We got him a Dirk basketball jersey that he LOVED. Nick had Dylan on his shoulders the whole time and Dylan was loving it. We had GREAT seats...row A, right off the court! It was a really fun night and Im so glad Dylan enjoyed it so much. In the car on the way home Dylan said, "Thank you Pop for my basketball game!" It was the sweetest thing. Then on our last day we finished all that VERY last minute shopping, wrapped gifts, and went to Cindy and Roberts' house for a yummy authentic Asian dinner cooked by Jenny's parents. They even taught me and elizabeth how to roll spring rolls. It was an amazing dinner. Dylan had so much fun running around with everyone, reading books with his cousins Sammi and Katie and Aunt Sissy, rocking in the little rocking chair and listening to the girls playing the piano. He was so comfortable and he is never that comfortable that quickly with so many new faces. It was a great way to end the trip. We spent the last few hours of the night hanging out with Uncle Nick, Auntie Liz, Pop and Grammy. We opened presents and when Dylan said "bye" to everyone he was so sweet. He said "i love you aunti liz", "i love you uncle nick", "i love you pop", and "i love you pumpkin/treasure/baby doll" (hahaha...Grammy)! We both had a great trip and miss all our family in Texas so much. We were happy to get back home for christmas. He couldnt wait to see Daddy, Grandma, Papa, Claire and Amy.
